What's Happening with The Place Kidz?

Hey there! We are having a great. time downstairs, continuing on with Discipleship Junction(the subject of prayer) We are all a little sad that our beloved Peter is leaving us to pursue a career in the big town of Vancouver but we all wish him the best...in fact we had a going away party for him Sunday night when all the KIDZ came downstairs. It was a great time talking about all the different dramas Peter and David wrote together. Continuing on, we are having a blast learning a new song called Pray, by the group Pure NRG, which we will be performing upstairs in June. There are some serious dance moves that we are laying down..it'll be great. The KIDZ already know the song. That's it for now, take care!

Kidz Buzz

There are many things that are happening at the Place KIDZ. We have many treasured volunteers who are leaving our ministry over the coming months. Special thank you's to Peter Carlone and Hilary Kingsley who are moving away. You'll be sorely missed. In a need to grow our program, we have also initiated some new volunteer opportunities. Our long term vision is to see MSM students serve on our teams regularly and, to foster that in the future, we have begun a new junior leadership program. We see this as an exciting way for kids at the Place to join in the community and allow God to use them, right where they are! Please support the kids by getting involved yourself and by praying for them and us in this new venture!

March Update

We had a very successful Family Night on January 13th. Our families stood strong and sang, danced, played games and were creative together. We decorated family picture frames and took family pictures to commemorate our night. Thanks to all who participated in making the night a success.

Also, we have had a few new people join our volunteer teams which is FANTASTIC! It takes lots of precious volunteers to make The Place KIDZ work and we are thankful for everyone's participation.

God Rocks!

On January 6th, 2008 we launched our new program, God Rocks. This is an action packed curriculum for ages 3 to Grade 5. Each week we will be committing more and more scripture to memory through song. AND, perhaps best of all, we'll be hosting a Family Night on January 13th. So parents and guardians, mark your calendars and plan to join us. As always, we are looking for more people to add to our volunteer teams so, if you think God is calling you to join us, please come and talk to us.
